Jason Day....an inspiration!

My inspiration for the month of September comes from professional golfer Jason Day.  Jason is a professional golfer who was always coming second in his tournaments, and although he has gone through much adversity in his life he never lost sight of his goals.

Golfer Jason Day
At an early age Jason lost his father who noticed his sons raw golfing talent at the tender age of 4 years. His mother went on to sell the family home to help educate Jason and pay for his golf lessons.  Jason has experienced personal tragedies, suffered from vertigo and even had to overcome depression.  Despite all this, one thing he always had was the unconditional love and support of his wife and family.  Last but not least he had the support and friendship of his faithful caddie who walked with him through the lean years and always encouraged him to greatness.

Jason recently hit the big time by winning the coveted PGA tournament and the first person he hugged when he won was his caddie who had always been by his side and had become much like a father figure to him.  Jason is a life lesson 1 (the achiever) and he is currently in a 1 cycle, so it's most definitely his time to win.  This experience touched me deeply and proves that you can achieve anything you put your mind to and especially with the love and support of others.  To me this is a true spiritual journey which we all can learn from.  Thank you for your inspiration Jason and I have no doubt we will hear more of this wonderful man in the future!

Water: The gift of life

It's a funny world we live in....

With water lapping on all shores around the world and it touching all of our hearts, yet so many still preach hate and prejudice.  We all come from the same Source, and in truth we are all brothers and sisters with the same feelings, fears, hopes and dreams.  However, we allow fear of the unknown to rule our lives and choices.

The very same water that started life on this planet brings us love of life.  In your nightly dreams, water represents emotions and feelings, and it is the lifeblood of the planet.  At the end of the day it doesn't matter what creed or color we are, so long as we start growing spiritually and working together.

Those same waters washed up the body of an innocent little boy last week who was caught up in the push and pull of politics.  I cried and felt the pain of the unnecessary loss of a precious child, who along with his family were fleeing their war-torn country and seeking refuge on peaceful shores.  This experience offers no good lessons, only pain.  It really hit home to me as my youngest child is the same age as this boy (4 yo).

If we truly have a heart and feel the waters of love and compassion, then lets raise our voices and speak up to make this a great planet a safe and loving one to live for us all.
